Out of Order 04:01
Candle’s burning down, down, down Not a soul around in this whole town All is quiet outside my window And Tom is singing on the radio There’s a sign on my door that says: Out of order When you’re not around Out of order And I can’t be found Just save it for a rainy day Save it for a rainy day Clock is striking now, now, now But my eyes are open anyhow I toss and turn the whole night through Dreams can’t hold a candle to you All night long, I’ll sing my song: I’m out of order When you’re not around Out of order And I can’t be found Just save it for a rainy day Save it for a rainy day Time heals all things I’ll wait for what tomorrow brings

When I was a little girl, I thought that I could fly And people came from very far to watch me try I climbed way on up to the rooftop, I held my arms up to the sky But the world said, “Come on down, girl.” So I never got to try There is gonna be a day When the world will finally hear the words I say When I got a little older got a 9 to 5 I learned to make a living But never felt alive You know I almost gave a piece of my mind a hundred times or so but the world said “Sit back down, girl.” So I never got to go. There is gonna be a day When the world will finally hear me as I say You can watch me float away We weren’t meant to stay Down here on the ground Watch me float away

Don’t ask me why I do the things I do You know I couldn’t change a thing if I wanted to Don’t tell me not to say the things I say You can scream and shout, But I’m gonna say them anyway You get what you see There’s no other me I tried fitting in It didn’t last too long You know that Life is a melody I’ve gotta sing my song I tried to march along to another beat But I always ended up Tripping on my two left feet I’m not lying There’s no time for that I’m just trying To tell you where I’m at

Taxi Outside 03:09
Well, it’s a low-light, over-hyped, Hollywood night - full of diamonds and six-figure deals. The suits are sharp. The skirts are tight, and it’s anything but real. What do you say – We make our get away? There’s a taxi outside At Fountain and Vine We can go downtown and have a real good time A taxi outside, so jump on in Turn the meter on, and let the night begin Well there’s an angry moon in the sky tonight And it’s playing games with my mind And the piano’s playing but the changes aren’t right And I think it’s long past time we run down through the hall And we break down all the walls There’s a taxi outside At Fountain and Vine We can go downtown and have a real good time A taxi outside, so jump on in Turn the meter on, and let the night begin And let them pose for all their pictures Like so-called millionaires By the time they start to miss us We’ll be out of their fabulous hair

I don't think about tomorrow Can't remember yesterday There's no map for me to follow I just take what comes my way I just go with the flow and I let the wind carry me home I just go with the flow It's the only thing I know Don't mistake me for complacent. I'm no victim of chance. There's a voice that I am chasing and I'm just learning how to dance.

Find a Dream 04:08
I got voices in my ears. Going back and forth they keep reminding me: Almost time. The pressure’s on. And I gotta take a step, move my feet to the beat I hear inside of me. Take a stand or move along. 'Cause I can’t stand waiting by the tracks no more. Waiting for the train to come my way. I gotta find me a dream to get me to tomorrow. I gotta find me a dream to get me through today. Tired of sitting around and living with my sorrow day to day. And now all the words you said echo back and forth inside my head and I’m losing sight of who I am. So I gotta make a change, Rearrange all the lyrics and the melodies. Get in tune and sing my song. 'Cause I've been waiting so long, but these questions don't have answers and I've been trying to slow down, but the days keep moving faster and I know it now.
